All of London in One Day

All of London in one day. That’s a very bold statement but I think it has some truth to it as Anna and I spent the day exploring the city of endless attractions. If you don’t believe me, this is what we saw:

  • Buckingham Palace
  • St James’s Park
  • Trafalgar Square
  • The National Gallery
  • Covent Garden
  • The Royal Courts of Justice
  • Somerset House
  • Big Ben(!!!)
  • Westminster Abbey
  • St Paul’s Cathedral (Evensong Service)
  • Tate Modern

OK it is most definitely not all of London, but a great accomplishment for one day. TO top it all off, we tried some amazing restaurants, bakeries, and even went candy shopping at Sugar Sin!

The highlight of the day was meeting Big Ben. I think it is the city’s most iconic landmarks and a must-see London attraction. The bell inside the clock tower weighs more than 13 tons! On the outside, the four clock faces of the tower are just as magnificent as the inside is significant. Big Ben first rang across Westminster on May 31st, 1859 and has barely stopped since.

A beautiful day, in a beautiful city with a beautiful person!
