Good Friday arrived very quickly, and we had looked forward to spending the day with family. Little did we know adventures on which we will embark on this day. Little after noon, we headed to Welland for Good Friday mass. It was a long drive, but our whole family appreciated the Hungarian service at the Church of our Lady of Hungary. We even saw scary little Magdus neni, who most definitely is entertainment each time we see her.
On our way home, we made a quick stop at the nearby Timmy’s to fuel up. I must say this has become a bit of a tradition for us after mass. The everything bagel I ordered was simply divine.
During the drive, I received the most exciting text from my little Kait. They were at the Maple bush creating the most wonderful thing Canada has to offer: maple syrup. A quick change of clothing, my mom, Aron, Anna and I headed towards the bush. I was beyond excited as I already had the opportunity to experience the serenity of the forest, but it was a first for the rest of my family. We passed by the frozen land, and soon enough arrived. We spent a couple of hours with the Little Family and it was the highlight of my trip home! The place is peaceful and magical and is an amazing hidden gem in the heart of Canada. A huge thank you to the Little family for having us over, and the jug of maple syrup!
