The Canadian Caesar cocktail is one of our favourites. After weeks of searching, we were able to acquire all the necessary ingredients to make this staple drink in London. Paired with an avocado baked with smoked salmon and an egg, it was a flavourful breakfast to start the day.
We began our journey of the Southbank near The Eye, and explored the colourful Christmas market. The Rekorderlig Cider Lodge was truly wonderful. With a cup of their winter cider, we warmed up to continue our journey. Admiring beautiful stalls offering home made fudge, chocolate tools and many other artisan Christmas gifts.
The next drink of choice was the Eggnog from the Highlands. Warm, chunky eggnog with whiskey. It was truly delicious as we enjoyed it in their 1920s nomadic liquor saloon lounge while having our photos taken in the photombooth. What a fun way to enjoy a drink while making lasting memories.
To finish our day of indulgences, we visited the Borough Market. This huge market located under the railway lines is truly one of a kind, offering fresh seafood, meats, and artisanal baked and dairy goods. In addition, I found the largest selection of mushrooms I ever did see!
An eventful day as we explored the southbank along the Thames while sipping on delicious winter warmers!
