Charity Bake Sale

Today was a special day for which we have been preparing for weeks. Erin being the special girl she is, planned a bake sale to raise money for a charity in the UK. Save the Children operates on 120 countries to help kids worldwide to save their lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

The baking itself began on Thursday as we prepared sugar cookies and a tray of Mars Bar Rice Krispie squares. In the end, we had a huge selection of treats, including Pudsey cupcakes, lemon loafs, chocolate chip cookies, brownies and even a Victoria sponge cake with cream and strawberries. Despite the rain, a huge success as we raised £150 to help a great cause!

Being Saturday night, I made plans with a Canadian friend to meet for dinner. Nothing better then cider, steak and common ground with an individual from the land of maple.
