Tapas and Chanel

Being hump day, we decided to make plans in the downtown area near Victoria station. Being my first time in this neighbourhood, I walked around to discover it. Westminster Cathedral was beautifully built from red brick in the late 1800’s. Truly a hidden gem!

As well, we had reservations for dinner at La Tasca, which is a Spanish Tapas restaurant. The goal was to find an impressive paella dish for Laci, so as to remind him of this wonderful meal from when we went to Barcelona earlier this year. Dinner was delicious, especially the tomatoe and goat cheese salad. And the pitcher of sangria put us both in high spirits to walk the gallery.

I was really excited to visit the Mademoiselle Privé exhibit by Chanel at Saatchi Gallery. However, it didn’t meet my expectations, but was a very fashion forward, modern exhibit. The exhibition features innovative installations which capture the spirit of Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld. Visitors will experience and understand the inspirations throughout history, as well as see the modern take on this fashion house.
