Tuesday started out as a very quiet day. Having received a job offer in the UK, it means that endless documents are required. Criminal background check, vaccinations and everything in between. 

Laci is off for the week though, so we decided to go for a nice walk and purchase some groceries. In addition, it was the land lady’s birthday. And not just any birthday, but her 50th. There was lots of champagne and delicious treats being served. Laci baked zucchini and tomatoe slices topped with Parmesan, breadcrumbs and oregano. With a slice of olive bread, they were divine. 

As for me, I decided to attempt sugar cookies. It is always a scary endeavour in a new country. But they turned out! Everyone at the party loved them! And best part is that they were very much London theme cookies. Using cookie cutters from Cookie Cutter Kingdom, there were umbrellas, rain coats, rain boots and even a rain drop! All in all, a great night for everyone, especially the birthday girl! Happy Birthday Laureen!
